What is Fast Charging?
Fast charging, simply explained as fast charging, means a comparative concept of fast charging speed relative to the charging speed in a unit of time. For example, for the same
mobile device, within the maximum allowable load range, by using a high-power charger to increase its charging speed and save charging time, it originally took three hours to
charge electricity, but the result only took one hour, which is called "fast charging".

QC Fast Charge is a Quick Charge (QC) fast charging technology developed by Qualcomm. Since the current mobile platform share of smartphones is mainly dominated by Qual-
comm's Snapdragon mobile platform, the QC fast charging technology supported by this platform is also relatively highest. In the early days, QC fast charging was mainly used to
pull up the current, and then with the improvement of the version, the dynamic adjustment of the current and voltage was gradually increased. So far, QC Fast Charging has come
to version 4+, and the QC4+ version includes a composite board for the QC 4 and QC 3.0/2.0 agreements that follow the USB PD 3.0 PPS agreement.
PD fast charging is the abbreviation of USB-PD (USB Power Delivery), although USB-PD chargers are not the largest in terms of market share compared to Qualcomm QC fast char-
ging technology, but because PD fast charging can support various types of chargers, and iPhone/iPad has also begun to support this USB-PD charging technology, so the trend is
rising. USB-PD is a power transmission standard defined by the USB-IF Association, in addition to PD2.0/PD3.0, it also includes PD3.0 PPS fast charging function, so all chargers that
support USB-PD can start charging according to USB-PD specifications.
At present, the maximum charging power provided by PD charging is 100W (20V*5A), but the actual charging power depends on the CC pin and system communication of the Type-C
cable. The PD fast charging system is widely used, often used in mobile phones, laptops, tablets, medical equipment and electric tools and other systems, and even Qualcomm's QC4+
also refers to PD3.0 PPS, so the future development of PD fast charging technology is quite exciting.
